Employee Spotlight:

Jeanette Beckey

Meet Jeanette Beckey, one of Adeo’s dedicated Direct Care Providers and Master Trainers. With an incredible 32 years of experience in the care industry, Jeanette has worked in home health, day programs, and residential care for survivors of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Her passion for helping others shines through in everything she does — from ensuring residents are comfortable and well cared for to mentoring her fellow team members.

What brought Jeanette to Adeo

Jeanette came to Adeo after years of experience in nursing homes, senior care, and private hospice. She was drawn to Adeo’s care program and mission to help individuals live more independently and with purpose.

Favorite accomplishment

For Jeanette, the most rewarding part of her work is seeing residents make progress toward their personal goals and gaining the independence they deserve. Watching their growth reminds her every day why she chose this career.

Learning and growth

Although Jeanette has extensive care experience, she says Adeo has taught her so much more about supporting people with brain injuries. “I’ve learned that they have a lot of life left in them,” she shares. “Helping them look forward to tomorrow is one of the best parts of my job.”

What she enjoys most

Jeanette finds joy in teaching new hires and helping them develop their own skills and confidence. She takes pride in being a positive role model and in maintaining the high standards of care Adeo is known for.

Motivation and inspiration

“I always want to put my best foot forward and represent myself and Adeo in the most positive way possible,” Jeanette says. Her motivation comes from her residents — and from a supportive team. She credits Wakiem and Adeo’s management and HR team for always being there with encouragement and answers.

Outside of work

When she’s not caring for residents, Jeanette loves spending time with her family and four grandchildren, as well as enjoying the great outdoors through hiking, fishing, and other adventures. The best advice she’s ever received? “Be honest with yourself — and be yourself.”

Looking ahead

Jeanette is excited to take on more leadership responsibilities in the future and continues to enjoy evaluating new residents as part of her role.

Jeanette’s tip for new team members
