Walk, Run, Roll 2023—Celebrating a Decade of Impact!
The 10th annual Walk, Run, Roll was a tremendous success, raising both awareness and funds to support our mission. This event has become a symbol of unity and determination within our community, bringing people together to champion the cause of those with brain injuries. Your support has allowed us to continue making a positive impact on the lives of our residents. In celebration of the 10th annual WRR, we introduced our “Say Yes to JOY!” Fund in 2023, a special initiative that allows us to provide personalized, life-fulfilling experiences to our residents based on their unique interests. Whether it’s guitar lessons or a visit to the Denver Zoo, this fund allows us to say yes to whatever brings joy to our residents’ lives. All proceeds from various initiatives have been dedicated to this fund, ensuring that we can continue to create moments of happiness and fulfillment.
New Year’s Eve 2023—A Night of Celebration
We welcomed the new year with a joyous, fun-filled celebration, surrounded by the warmth of our Adeo community. It was a time of reflection, gratitude, and anticipation for the wonderful opportunities that lie ahead! What better way to ring in the new year than being surrounded by amazing people?
Investing in Our Team—ARPA Grant Boosts Training and Retention
Thanks to an American Rescue Plan Act grant from the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (Colorado Medicaid), we made a year-long investment in training for our direct care workers. This initiative aimed at promoting team building, collaborative work, and addressing clinical issues. We are proud to share that our staff retention rate increased from 59% in CY2022 to an inspiring 69% in CY2023.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Conversations
Adeo embarked on an important journey toward fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within our organization. Throughout 2023, we initiated conversations on DEI with all staff members, recognizing the importance of creating an environment where everyone feels valued and heard. This commitment will continue to shape our actions and policies in 2024 and beyond.
Empowering Choices—Hope Apartments at Adeo
A significant milestone in 2023 was the process of relocating tenants at Hope Apartments at Adeo to apartments of their choosing. The success of this transition also results from the collaborative spirit within the Adeo community. We are excited about our ongoing commitment to enhancing its support for individuals with brain injuries with the new renovations to Hope Apartments at Adeo.
